Every Saturday from May to Thanksgiving, Burnet's Historic Square is home to an old fashioned farmer's market. The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association is proud to sponsor this event, under the able leadership of Chairman Lavona Fry and many Master Gardener volunteers, each Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. We have a wide variety of home grown fruits and vegetables as well as some vendors with items such as specialty breads and pies to fish and shrimp. Most of the produce is grown locally; however this popular market attracts vendors statewide. One Saturday per month, a licensed shrimper from Palacios delivers fresh headed Gulf Shrimp and filleted fish to the market. Come join us on the southeast corner of the Burnet Town Square, just southeast of the Hwy 281 and Hwy 29 intersection.
