The Farmer's Market will be open when the tomatoes are ready in May. Join us every Saturday.
Every Saturday from May to Thanksgiving, Burnet's Historic Square is home to an old fashioned farmer's market. The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association, a volunteer arm of the Texas AgriLife Extension, is proud to sponsor this event, under the able leadership of Chairman Lavona Fry and many Master Gardener volunteers, each Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. We have a wide variety of home grown fruits and vegetables as well as some vendors with items such as specialty breads and pies to fish and shrimp. Most of the produce is grown locally; however this popular market attracts vendors statewide. One Saturday per month, a licensed shrimper from Palacios delivers fresh headed Gulf Shrimp and filleted fish to the market. Come join us on the Burnet Town Square at Main and Washington, just southeast of the Hwy 281 and Hwy 29 intersection.
