Master Gardener Activities
In addition to participating in the Master Gardener classes, Farmer's Market and the Hill Country Lawn and Garden Show, Master Gardeners are involved in many other activities throughout the Hill Country.

Oaks Nursing Home
The Master Gardeners have developed the interior courtyard of the nursing home in Burnet. This has been enjoyed very much by the residents because they see it every day from their dining room and some residents rooms. We have constructed raised beds with crape myrtles, lillies and earthkind roses.

Rose Test Garden
The Master Gardeners have planted an official Rose Test Garden in Marble Falls in cooperation with Texas A & M University. We have planted 3 each of 6 different test roses under strict restrictions for watering and care in order to find roses that can be recommended to the public. We will be making observations and reports back to the University.
