Hill Country Lawn and Garden Show

The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association and Texas AgriLife Extension are proud to announce that the Tenth Annual Hill Country Lawn and Garden Show was held on March 22, 2008 at the Burnet Community Center on 401 E. Jackson St. in Downtown Burnet.

The Highland Lakes Master Gardeners were excited to present this free show as a public service to the residents and visitors of the Hill Country.  This year’s show featured more than 25 exhibitors of garden related items. The Highland Lakes Master Naturalists were there with many wonderful books and information and the Native Plant Society offered an exciting array of native plants. There were exhibitors from the surrounding Hill Country area offering plants, herbs, trees, veggies, garden equipment as well as other garden related items of interest.  A booth especially for children was included in this year’s show.  There were demonstrations presented throughout the day.  In addition to the exhibitors, the show also featured three exciting free seminars.  Join us next year on Saturday, March 28, 2009 for a fun and educational day at the Eleventh Annual Hill Country Lawn & Garden Show.

Be sure and enjoy our free "Green Thumb" programs presented at the libraries.  Go to the Green Thumb page for full details.  Also the Farmer's Market is in full swing in Burnet on Saturdays.  Check out the Farmer's Market page.
